Staying in a private bungalow at the Big Island's Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, Michele, 26, and Monteith, 30, went sea kayaking and swimming during their trip. New York native Michele spent the rest of her time off bonding with her parents, Marc and Edith Sarfati.
"I had the best time with my mom and dad," the show's leading lady told Us Weekly during FOX's Winter TCA Tour cocktail party in Pasadena, Calif., Jan. 8. "I got to hang out with them and relax."
Though she was elated to be in the same place as the three most important people in her life -- and away from the distractions of work -- Michele admitted "the best part" of her trip was drinking the locally-grown brew. "I love coffee so much, and the Kona coffee was out of this world!"
Michele -- who paraded her toned body in a bright orange bikini -- feasted on "whatever" she wanted to eat while in Hawaii. "I think that you should just do what makes you happy and take good care of yourself," the Broadway vet told Us. "I'm a pretty healthy eater as it is, so going crazy for me is like eating some Annie's vegan Macaroni and Cheese."
