Billboard -- With a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance ("I Want You") in his back pocket, Luke James debuts a his mixtape, "Whispers in the Dark," today (Dec. 12). The lustrous 11-track project features a guest appearance by Hit-Boy ("Oh God") and is entirely produced by Danja, who is at the helm of New Age Rock Star Records (N.A.R.S.).

Within this past year, the singer-songwriter -- who's written for the likes of Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Britney Spears -- has opened for Beyoncé at her four-day Revel concert series, and performed at the 2012 Essence Music Festival and BET Black Girls Rock alongside Anthony Hamilton and Eric Benét. Luke James is currently working on his album, "Made to Love," expected to debut in 2013.
