Lupita Nyong'o's pearl-filled Oscar dress is still MIA and police are no closer to catching the thief who jacked it out of her hotel room.

After the dress was stolen from Lupita's room in the London West Hollywood hotel, police began investigating surveillance tapes, but TMZ is reporting that the video "is a bust."

"The security cameras in the hotel are spotty and there was nothing trained on the area surrounding the door of Lupita's room," TMZ said.

The now-famous dress is valued at around $150,000. So, if caught, the burglar would be facing serious charges.

Not only are authorities stumped on who took the gown, but they are also wondering how it was taken. One theory they think is feasible is that the dress was taken from the hotel in a bag or a hamper. There is another theory that the incident was an inside job, but, again, they don't know.

Dressed to kill? More like dress to steal.
