Matt Damon's near-perfect body is reason enough to check out his latest flick, "Elysium." But apparently getting into silver-screen shape was no easy task for the A-list actor.

"It was like four hours a day of working out, which was like a total indulgence for the movie and a lot of fun to do -- but not something I'm interested in doing in my regular life," Matt told Wonderwall at the film's Los Angeles premiere.

The father of four, who'd rather spend his time walking his daughters to school than hitting the gym, has no interest in maintaining his action-star physique off set: "I don't maintain that at all! Are you kidding me? I have a life," he jokes. "I got married for a reason."

The family man recently relocated his brood -- which includes step-daughter Alexia, 15, and biological daughters Isabella, 7, Gia, 4, and Stella, 2, plus wife Luciana -- from New York City to Los Angeles.

"It's good!" he said of the move. "I've lived here before over the years, but to bring the whole family out and settle here, it's a big change. We're excited about it and ready for the school year to start."
