Another Hollywood marriage bites the dust.
Robyn Moore, the wife of Mel Gibson, filed for divorce last Thursday (ironically, the day before Good Friday). Moore has cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split according to the TMZ report. They've been married for 28 years.
Sources claim the couple does not have a prenuptial agreement. Moore and Gibson married in 1980, before the actor's immensely successful career took off. Gibson's fortune was estimated at $900 million in 2006, and California laws would entitle Moore to 50 percent of his earnings and properties.
Moore's divorce attorney is Laura Wasser, who has also represented Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder in their divorce cases.
Gibson has mostly laid low since his 2006 drunk driving arrest, during which he reportedly used anti-Semitic and sexist slurs towards the police officers arresting him.
Story developing. Stay tuned.
