George Michael has opened up about his emotional Christmas with his loved ones after he was allowed home for the holidays following a stint in hospital in Europe.
The British singer cancelled a string of concert dates after he was struck down with a bout of pneumonia on tour, and he spent several weeks being treated by doctors at a hospital in Vienna.
He flew back to Britain shortly before Christmas, and he has now told his Twitter followers he felt "lucky" to have been able to enjoy the festivities at his home in London.

In a series of posts, he writes, "Best Christmas I can remember, surrounded by the people I love. ... And knowing that Xmas could have been very different this year for everyone at that table. ... As it was we stuffed and laughed ourselves silly, I'm such a lucky man! I hope you all had a great one."
