Michelle Obama is headed to the Nickelodeon show iCarly! Network president Cyma Zarghami told the Associated Press on Wednesday that Obama, 47, will appear in an upcoming episode of the comedy to promote Joining Forces, an initiative aimed at increasing awareness and support for military families.

Miranda Cosgrove plays Carly Shay, the daughter of a colonel serving overseas in the military. When her pals break some rules and set up a web chat so Carly can with her day a happy birthday, "the first lady discovers it and comes to have a chat with them in the most positive way possible," Zarghami said.

The show's creator and executive producer Dan Schneider wrote the episode specifically for Obama and her military initiative.

Zarghami added that Obama's daughters (Sasha, 9, and Malia, 12) are fans of the show. The episode tentatively scheduled to air in January 2012.
