A new chapter! Michelle Williams is dating novelist Jonathan Safran Foer, according to a new report.
A source tells Us Weekly, "They knew each other through mutual friends…I'm not surprised that Michelle is attracted to him. She loves books. She reads almost every day!"
Jonathan has authored several best sellers, including "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close," which was later turned into a movie starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock. He was previously married to fellow author Nicole Krauss. Michelle has previously dated Jason Segel, Spike Jonze, and, of course, the late Heath Ledger.
"They're two people in the same mind-set," Us' source said.
A second source, echoed the sentiment, telling the magazine, "With Jonathan, Michelle looks finally at peace and genuinely happy."
The pairing seemed fitting, especially considering the "Brokeback Mountain" star's admitted obsession with reading. She once told Nylon that her love of books was "consuming, or isolating, I guess." She even admitted she had "walls in my apartment made of books."
Jonathan has two children from his previous marriage, where as Michelle has one daughter, Matilda, with her late boyfriend.
Now 9 years old, Matilda is Michelle's main priority. In March, she told Elle UK that she's "so good at raising a kid" while she's not working. "I don't forget anything. I've got everything covered."
Last April, Heath's sister Kate Ledger praised Michelle's parenting skills, saying the actress "really does keep things real for [Matilda], and her existence, although different from most, is as normal as possible in an abnormal world."
