Looks like all that twerking paid off! In a promo image for new single "Wrecking Ball" that she shared with fans on Thursday, Sept. 5, Miley Cyrus shows off her incredibly fit figure in a white crop top and briefs while sitting on -- you guessed it! -- a wrecking ball.
In the dramatic shot, Cyrus's head is thrown back as she shows off her toned legs and abs, her feet firmly stuffed into a pair of dark red boots.
The official music video for the track, a slower ballad off her new album "Bangerz," will be released on Monday, Sept. 9.
The 20-year-old pop singer has been tweeting a countdown to the release and riding a wave of publicity since her controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 25.
Not that the former Disney star is sorry.
"I don't pay attention to the negative because I've seen this play out so many times," she told MTV.com in an interview that took place just three days after her much-talked about performance with Robin Thicke. "How many times have we seen this play out in pop music?"
"Madonna's done it. Britney's done it. Every VMA performance, that's what you're looking for; you're wanting to make history," she added. "What's amazing is I think now, we're three days later and people are still talking about it. They're overthinking it."
