Miley and Moonie, a match made in heaven. Miley Cyrus is still mourning the death of her beloved dog Floyd, but she has a new puppy pal to help lick those tears away. The "Bangerz" singer, who has been grieving nonstop since Floyd's passing, shared some happy news with fans on April 4.
"My mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses," the "Wrecking Ball" singer tweeted, along with an adorable photo of her fluffy new puppy. Tish Cyrus surprised her struggling daughter the morning after Miley broke down onstage -- for the second night in a row -- during her "Bangerz" tour stop at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J.
"Miley is so upset over her dog dying," a source told Us Weekly of the pop star. "She is having a really hard time getting through the concerts because of it. She's been breaking down throughout the shows."
Cyrus told fans on April 2, that Floyd, the adorable Alaskan Klee Kai she's owned since 2011, had passed away. "Today is the 2nd worst day of my life," Cyrus tweeted, before elaborating, "I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real."
After Floyd's death, Cyrus was joined and consoled by one of her rescue dogs, Mary Jane, whom she adopted with former fiance Liam Hemsworth back in 2012. "Crackin a smile thanks to Mary Jane," she wrote early Friday morning, alongside a photo of herself cuddling with the puppy in bed.
"No one could ever replace my baby Floyd but this precious angel is lendin me some fur to cry on along with my other babies," the pop star tweeted Friday. "Can't wait to introduce Bean and Happy to Moonie."
She added, "Currently soakin up some Moonie & Mary Jane.... so many emotions I am exhausted."
