Movie stars, supermodels on Cannes charity catwalk
CANNES, France (AP) -- Fashion has rolled out the red carpet for charity in Cannes, with a benefit runway show by Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief organization to raise money for the Japanese Red Cross.
Campbell was joined on the catwalk Monday by A-listers including actress Rosario Dawson, tennis star Noavk Djokovic, Jane Fonda and Grace Hightower, who's married to this year's Cannes Film Festival jury president, Robert De Niro.
Lanvin, Valentino, Sonia Rykiel and Jean Paul Gaultier were among scores of labels that donated the red carpet-ready gowns the models sported.
Stars and fashion industry heavyweights such as Ivana Trump, Pucci's Peter Dundas and Japan Vogue editor Anna Della Russo turned out for the show and an auction that followed.
