Mumford & Sons bassist Ted Dwane is recovering well after waking up following brain surgery, according to his father and one of his bandmates.
The bassist was hospitalized on Monday to undergo an emergency operation to treat a blood clot on his brain, prompting the band to ax three gigs this week.
Dwane's father, John, has now revealed the surgery went well and the family was relieved when the rocker regained consciousness.
He tells Britain's The Sun, "It's been terribly worrying -- but he's come round fine and we're just glad about that, and that he's safe. We're all really relieved."
Banjo player Winston Marshall also posted an update on Twitter: "Ted is recovering nicely from surgery. He's a brave little boy. Thanks for all your support. We are very grateful"
