Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are madly in love, but unlike Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, they aren't in a race to the altar.
"Eventually I am going to marry and have a family but not anytime soon," Vampire Diaries actress Dobrev, 23, tells the September issue of Canada's FASHION magazine. "I'm not going to pull a Miley."
(In January 2012, several British tabloids claimed Somerhalder, 33, had asked his costar to marry him. "There is no truth to this item at all," Dobrev's rep told Us Weekly at the time. "There was no proposal." The two have been linked since 2010.)
Their stance on marriage isn't the only thing that sets Cyrus and Dobrev apart: while Cyrus is frequently photographed wearing grungy, '90s-inspired attire, Dobrev dons more sophisticated looks by Donna Karan, Elie Saab and Monique Lhuillier. To create memorable red carpet moments -- like at the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards -- Dobrev works with stylist Ilaria Urbinati.
"I needed a collaborator, not a dictator. Someone who'd hopefully understand me. When you're getting ready for a red carpet, you have to have a great team and you have to make sure that everyone is looking out for every little detail," Dobrev tells FASHION. "If they're not. . . Joan Rivers will be."
