Oscars 2012 Hair and Makeup: All the Details
After the stars pick out the perfect Academy Awards gowns, it's up to their glam squads to create stunning hair and makeup to match. While there were some old favorites -- loose updos, red lips and smoky eyes -- several celebs experimented with unexpected looks.
The Help's Jessica Chastain had a sexy, retro vibe with winged-out liner, nude lips and bombshell waves. "We wanted to keep her looking modern, fresh and super easy," hairstylist Jenny Cho told Us Weekly.
Rose Byrne's glossy bob looked extra chic, thanks to a deep side-part and quickie pre-show bang trim from stylist Harry Josh. "In a sea of girls with long hair and evening gowns, she's a breath of fresh air," he said of the Bridesmaids star.
Cameron Diaz opted for defined eyes, flushed cheeks and pink lips. "She just has one of those faces that you don't need to do a lot to it," makeup artist Robin Fredriksz told Us.
