NEW YORK (AP) -- A black camerawoman who works for CNN says she was "not surprised" to have two people at the Republican National Convention throw peanuts at her and say "this is what we feed animals."
Security immediately removed the two white people from the Tampa, Fla., convention arena on Tuesday but didn't reveal their identities.
Camerawoman Patricia Carroll says she hates that it happened. She told Maynard Institute blogger Richard Prince on Thursday it could have happened on a street corner or at the Democratic convention.
Carroll says she hopes the incident is a wake-up call for black people.
