Kristen Stewart has nothing but love for her Panic Room costar Jodie Foster.
Celebrating the actress at a Beverly Hills Hollywood Foreign Press Association event Nov. 1, the Twilight star -- along with The Mentalist's Simon Baker -- revealed that Foster would be the 2012 recipient of the HFPA's prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award.
"This is a special moment for me. . . . she's been really important in my life for a long time and I think Simon and I are really thrilled to make this announcement," Stewart, 22, said when announcing Foster's latest accolade. Clad in a grey Bec & Bridge dress, she then went on to highlight how Foster's "screen presence, directorial skills and entrepreneurial success have established her as one of the most admired and respected people in the industry."
Awarded annually, the Cecil B. DeMille honor is given to those who made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry. Previous recipients include Harrison Ford, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese and Barbra Streisand. Foster, 49, will be lauded at the 70th annual Golden Globes, held on Jan. 13, 2013.
Though she was all dolled up to announce pal Foster's honor Thursday, the previous night -- on Halloween -- Stewart wasn't in the mood to play dress-up. Hand-in-hand with her boyfriend Robert Pattinson, Stewart made the rounds at a star-packed costume bash at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery -- wearing jeans, a t-shirt and sneakers.
With Stewart's July cheating scandal behind them, she and Pattinson are expected to continue promotional duties for the final Twilight film, with a junket scheduled for later this week.
