Detective Darren Wilden may be hiding a dark secret of his own. In the Feb. 19 episode of Pretty Little Liars, the alleged "beach hottie" (Bryce Johnson) pays the girls an after-hours visit at the coffee shop where Emily Fields works.
"What are you doing here?" Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) asks. "Were you following us?"
"Jason DiLaurentis has been saying some nasty things about me," the detective says. When Hanna asks for specifics, he rolls his eyes. "Don't play dumb, Hanna. It wouldn't be the first time you made up a story."
"Well, I don't know what you're talking about, so why don't you just leave us alone?" Hanna pleads while standing beside BFFs Emily (Shay Mitchell), Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale) and Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario).
"It's just a question," the detective replies. "No need to get so defensive."
Unable to control her anger, Hanna lets Darren know that they're aware of his prior relationship with their deceased pal Alison DiLaurentis. "Why don't you ask CeCe Drake?" she shouts. "We know about the little boat ride you two took with Alison."
Thrown off by Hanna's outburst, the detective suggests they call it a night. "Care for a ride?" he asks. "It's not safe this time of night."
Before he walks out the door, Darren turns to the girls and offers a cryptic goodbye. "Oh, and Hanna," he says, his eyes narrowing. "See you around."
Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC Family.
