Bethenny Frankel of "The Real Housewives of New York City" is telling all about her new baby Bryn.
Baby Bryn Casey Hoppy was born on May 8, and Bethenny tells People magazine's Celebrity Baby Blog that after 30 hours of labor and an eventual C-section, "She came out like a little doll." Bethenny called the birth "amazing."
She tells Celebrity Baby Blog that the baby is named after a special person -- her husband Jason Hoppy's late brother Bryan, who passed away 19 years ago in a car accident.
"They used to call him Bryn as a nickname," Bethenny tells Celebrity Baby Blog, saying that she thought it was a "great name." According to the blog, Bethenny shares that Jason's mom cried hysterically when they shared the baby's name after her birth.
The blog reports that baby Bryn had to spend four days in the NICU after her birth since she was born five weeks early. Bethenny tells the blog that life at home was a little daunting for the new mom and dad at first: "We were in this dark little room with our baby. It was almost like 'Survivor' -- where we were fending for ourselves. We couldn't stop staring at her and looking at her."
At the end of the day, Bethenny tells the blog, "We're so thankful and lucky to have a healthy baby."
