The stars of Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City aren't known for clipping coupons or browsing the sales racks, but when Us Weekly challenged them to spend less than $100 on their next shopping spree, they proved that they could buy plenty with just one Benjamin!
In fact, Bethenny Frankel was able to dress herself head-to-toe in date night attire with two pennies to spare!
"I'd rather pull a Winona Ryder than spend $1,200 on a pair of shoes!" Frankel joked to Us after buying a blouse, belt, clutch, skirt and shoes for $98.98.
Ramona Singer -- who bought a scarf and accessories at H&M -- agreed.
"My thing is, you can always spend thousands of dollars," she said, adding that finding less expensive items is more gratifying. "How do you spend less and look good?"
Recently laid-off Alex McCord was surprised that she could find a cute summer outfit at Old Navy for less than $90.
"Prior to this shopping trip, I hadn't looked at Old Navy for myself in quite a while," she said. "You don't need to spend loads and loads of dollars on clothing."
She added: "There is no luxury you cannot live without. They are luxuries not necessities."
