When asked if he's still in contact with his co-star and former girlfriend, he says simply, "Oh, yeah."
As for his other "Twilight" co-stars, the 28-year-old actor says he does still play poker with Kellan Lutz, who he admits is better at the card game. "It's ridiculous! It's like they basically just ask, 'Do you want to spend $500 to hang with us?' 'Oh, great!'"
Another more surprising confession from Pattinson is that he found the role of the vampire Edward Cullen challenging. "It was quite a constricting character, in a way. You want to make [him] as dramatic as possible, but you have someone who never loses his temper, and so it's like, 'How the f**k do you do this?' I think that was one of the hardest jobs I've ever done."
He added of landing the breakout part, "It was basically the last-chance saloon when I got 'Twilight.'"
Pattinson has two movies coming out this year. He stars alongside Guy Pearce in director David Michod's "Rover," and joins director David Cronenberg again for "Maps to the Stars."
