In the DVD director's commentary of Snow White and the Huntsman, Rupert Sanders has only wonderful things to say about his leading lady Kristen Stewart.
The 22-year-old actress will make her first public appearance Thursday -- after being caught cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Sanders, 41, in July -- at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of On The Road. As Stewart tries to focus on her new film, the blockbuster movie that sparked her controversial relationship with Sanders will be released on DVD next week.
Us Weekly obtained the director's commentary on the DVD (Spoilers Ahead!), which lends insight to Sanders feelings towards Stewart.
In the beginning of the film, Liberty Ross makes her brief appearance as Queen Eleanor, mother to a young Snow White (played by actress Raffey Cassidy). "That's actually my wife!" Sanders says. The British model, 33, shares two children with Sanders, daughter Skyla, 7, and son Tennyson, 5.
"First time we see Kristen Stewart!" Sanders exclaims when Stewart first appears as Snow White locked up in castle. "This is the first dialogue I shot with her, I said maybe you do a prayer. Her accent was flawless, she did such an amazing job on it."
"Kristen was amazing," he says of the Twilight star's performance in Snow White, which was directorial debut. "I'd sit down with Kristen at lunch and say, "What do you think?"
In another scene, Stewart shares a kiss with William (Sam Clafin), who was actually being possessed by Ravenna (Charlize Theron). Though the two ladies didn't actually kiss, Sanders says the 37-year-old Oscar-winning actress jokingly told Stewart off-camera, "I loved getting off with you."
On July 24, Us revealed exclusive photos of Stewart and Sanders engaged in a steamy makeout session. Since then, she been keeping a low profile, but that will change Thursday. "The heartache with Rob is so much to bear," a pal of the actress recently told Us, "but Kristen has always valued her career. She doesn't want to jeopardize her future in acting."
