Sam Claflin to Be Cast as Finnick in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire?
From Prince Charming to sexy Finnick!
Sam Claflin -- who most recently starred alongside Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman -- is said to be the frontrunner for the role of Finnick in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Variety reports.
The most coveted, talked-about role in the sequel to Hunger Games, Finnick is a handsome, blonde, extremely clever and barely clothed tribute from District 4, and interacts with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) in the second book in Suzanne Collins' blockbuster trilogy.
The British actor, 26, has also starred in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides plus the acclaimed TV fantasy miniseries Pillars of the Earth.
Reps for Claflin and Lionsgate would not comment.
Also in the running for an as-yet un-cast roles? Tony Shalhoub may play Beetee, another, older tribute, Variety reports.
Tell Us: Is Claflin the right guy to play Finnick.
