'Transformers' star Shia LaBeouf plans to run the Los Angeles Marathon on behalf of U.S. VETS. Read on for details…

LaBeouf will join the thousands of L.A. joggers on Sunday, March 21 to help bring attention to America's largest nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive services to veterans in need, including those recently returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

The race begins at Dodgers Stadium and winds for 26.2 miles through the city, finishing in Santa Monica.

"We are delighted and grateful to have Mr. LaBeouf participate in the marathon on our behalf," said U.S.VETS President and CEO Dwight Radcliff. "Shia's father is a Vietnam veteran and running the marathon is a significant way to honor his father's service and the military service of others."
