Although Stephen Amell won't welcome his first child with wife Cassandra Jean until later this year, the Arrow actor has already begun easing into fatherhood. "Seems like a good time to mention that I can make our unborn child kick on command," the star joked on Twitter July 21. "This parenting stuff is easy."
Amell, 32, and Jean, 27, announced in June that they are expecting a baby. The couple tied the knot in the Caribbean on Dec. 25, 2012, and celebrated their nuptials with friends and family in New Orleans on May 26, 2013.
During the Much Music Video Awards in Toronto June 16, Amell revealed how they're prepping for the arrival of their firstborn. "We're going to decorate a new place in Vancouver for the second season of Arrow," he told Us Weekly. "And we're making some renovations to our place in L.A."
Amell said they know their child's gender, but for now, "that's a secret." When asked about his wife's due date, the star replied, "I defer all questions about our fetus to the one that's cooking the kid -- and she's not here."
The actor added that he hasn't yet received any parenting tips from his Arrow costars, but said that's likely to change in the coming months. "When we were wrapping up the last season none of them really knew," Amell explained. "So maybe when we come back for Season 2 and Cassandra is showing a little bit more, they'll have some advice."
