There's baby momma drama for Amber Portwood of MTV's "Teen Mom" -- who has reportedly been charged with domestic violence and battery.
According to reports, a criminal investigation was launched after an episode aired that showed Amber hitting Gary Shirley, the father of her child, in front of their 2-year-old daughter Leah.
HollywoodLife.com broke the news, citing that "under Indiana law, an incident of domestic abuse is considered a felony if a child is present for the abuse."
Public Information Officer, Detective Mitch Carroll, tells the site that "the affidavit has been submitted to the prosecutor for formal charges. If convicted, Portwood faces up to three years in jail and fines of up to $10,000."
A rep for MTV tells ET: "We are cooperating with all parties and hope for a quick and fair resolution that allows everyone involved to move forward in a positive manner."
