The Help Rises to Number One at Weekend Box Office

Second weekend's the charm!

The Help came in at number two last weekend at the box office, but this weekend it rose to number one. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Emma Stone's Civil Rights era film earned $20.5 million this weekend and has racked up a total of $71.3 million domestically in its first ten days in theaters.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes came in second place at the box office this weekend. The film -- starring James Franco and Freida Pinto -- has earned an estimated $133.8 million domestically since its August 5 opening.

Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, starring Jessica Alba, came in third at the box office, grossing an estimated $12 million according to the site. Conan the Barbarian and Friday Night both fell short of expectations, grossing $10 million and $8.3 million respectively.
