The Wanted Rescue Female Fan After Fainting, Seizure Scare
Glad they came -- to the rescue!
Over the weekend, The Wanted saved a female fan after she fainted and suffered a seizure.
According to British paper The Sun, the boy band members -- Max George, 23, Siva Kaneswaran, 23, Jay McGuiness, 21, Tom Parker, 23, and Nathan Sykes, 19 -- had just arrived at Glasgow Airport in Scotland on a tour bus after their T in The Park performance. A group of young fans were waiting outside the airport for their arrival. One girl became so excited that she fainted, hit her head on a brick wall and began convulsing.
Reacting quickly, Sykes got out of the bus to check on her. He stayed by the young woman's side while Parker called an ambulance.
Parker told The Sun, "It was pretty frightening, but anyone would have done the same."
And The Wanted's rep confirmed to Celebuzz, "Yes, the story is 100% true."
On Sunday, a concerned Sykes tweeted, "Can someone please direct message to let me know if the girl from the airport is ok? Thanks." Presumably assured, he later wrote, "Thanks for the updates guys, glad she is ok."
