Are the walls of your studio apartment closing in on you? Fed up with your neighbor blasting "My Humps" at the crack of dawn? Then take a break by living vicariously through the rarefied residences of the stars.
First stop: Beverly Hills, where it seems Rihanna has found a new place to call home. X17 says the chanteuse has plunked down $6.9 million for an eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom (you know, just in case), 10,000-plus-square-foot pad, which was apparently something of a bargain given that it was originally listed for a more bank-busting $9.95 million.
The gated, ultra-modern residence is located on a private lane and comes outfitted with the usual celebrity amenities, such as a pool, sauna, steam room, home theater, spa and sweeping views of the city.
The digs also appear to have a reality TV pedigree: They were reportedly featured on the second season of Paris Hilton's "My New BFF." Here's hoping the place was thoroughly scrubbed before going on the market.

Let's move on to the Big Easy, where Sandra Bullock and her ink-stained hubby, Jesse James, have followed the lead of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie by buying a historic mansion. The Real Estalker reports the property-collecting couple, who have holdings everywhere from Austin to New York to Los Angeles, recently closed on a $2.25 million, 6,000-plus-square-foot "Gothic-Victorian" manor.
The lavish five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath estate was built in the late 1800s and features such classic accents as sky-high ceilings, marble fireplaces, antique moldings and crystal chandeliers.
The sale comes just a few months after the city's Warren Easton high school inducted the bighearted actress into its hall of fame in honor of her generous contributions to help it rebuild in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. While the exact amount of her donation isn't known, Bullock, who has visited the school numerous times, calls it "the best investment I ever made."
Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the landlord who rented to Lindsay Lohan, who ditched her Hollywood Hills home last week and moved into a more secure high-rise apartment. Radar Online reports the trouble-magnet starlet, whose recent bad luck streak includes a conspiracy-surrounded burglary and the alleged disappearance of $2 million in borrowed jewels, bailed on the pricey property with five months left on her lease.
"The property was up for rental at $15,000 per month, but she got a special deal of $10,000 per month, meaning she's going to owe $50,000 on the remainder of her lease," says a neighbor. "Plus, there's going to be damages, the property is in total disrepair since she's moved in, its not able to be shown in it's current state, its going to take some serious work to get it back to it's original condition."
The annoyed owner is said to be considering legal action if Lohan doesn't cough up the cash. "They are not happy at all about the situation," relays the snitch.
Another neighbor pipes in that residents are relishing the silence now that Lindsay is gone.
"The only time it was quiet around here was when she was up the road causing chaos outside of Sam Ronson's house," says the source. "I can tell you that everyone in this neighborhood is unbelievably relieved that Lindsay has moved on. I just feel sorry for her next neighbors."
And finally, if you're interested in peeping out Natalie Portman's personal space, the latest issue of In Touch showcases shots of the sprawling Los Angeles estate she purchased a few months back for $3 million-plus.
The secluded four-bedroom, two-bath Medieval-light abode has two guesthouses, along with a grand, if woodsy, living room and a state-of-the-art security system that should keep any rabid "Star Wars" fans at bay. The actress sold her New York loft last year for $6.5 million.
