Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's foundation is reportedly donating $1 million to the emergency first responders helping victims of Tuesday's earthquake in Haiti.

People.com reports that the Jolie-Pitt Foundation will make their donation to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres. According to the mag, Doctors Without Borders' three hospitals in the capital of Haiti sustained so much damage that staff members are now working in open-air hospitals.

"It is incredibly horrible to see a catastrophe of this size hit a people who have been suffering from extreme poverty, violence and unrest for so many decades," Jolie tells People.

Pitt told the mag, "We understand the first response is critical to serve the immediate needs of countless people who are now displaced from their homes, are suffering trauma, and most require urgent care."
