SAN DIEGO (AP) — It's not a mystery: "Veronica Mars" is really coming to the big screen.
Movie creator Rob Thomas, star Kristen Bell and the rest of the cast previewed footage Friday from the upcoming fan-funded film at Comic-Con.
The cult teenage gumshoe series was canceled after three seasons in 2007. Thomas used crowd-funding site Kickstarter to pull in $2 million in less than a day to make the movie, eventually gathering more than $5.7 million in 30 days.
The footage teased didn't give away too much of the plot, showing an adult Mars as a hot-shot New York lawyer returning to her hometown and meeting up with her old pals.
"Veronica Mars" stars like Jason Dohring, Tina Majorino and Chris Lowell joined Bell on at the San Diego Convention Center panel.
