More big news for "American Idol": Victoria Beckham has signed on to judge!

Her publicist has confirmed that the former Posh Spice, 35, will make a "one-off appearance" alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi on the hit FOX show, Britain's Sky News reports. She has previously served as guest judge of "Project Runway."

The news comes after Paula Abdul announced late Tuesday that she is leaving the show after eight seasons.

"With sadness in my heart, I've decided not to return," the 47-year-old Twittered.

Abdul, who was believed to have earned about $2 million in salary last season, reportedly wanted a $20-million deal to stay on the show. She walked when she was only offered a 30 percent raise, according to reports.
