Kirsten Dunst

Spotlight

Kirsten Dunst’s mom started dragging her toe-headed tot to auditions when she was 3. After booking a cereal commercial in 1985, she got a modeling contract with Ford and made her feature film debut in Woody Allen’s New York Stories (1989). At only 12, on the set of Interview With A Vampire, she got to do what most women can only fantasize about — kiss Brad Pitt z— and it earned her a Golden Globe nomination to boot. In 1996, she was taught to drive a golf cart by Brad’s bestie George Clooney on the set of ER, where she had a recurring role. As a teen, Dunst starred in the beauty-pageant satire Drop Dead Gorgeous, Sofia Coppola's The Virgin Suicides and the guilty pleasure cheerleading romp Bring It On. But in 2002, Dunst swooped into blockbuster territory as Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man films with Tobey Maguire. But as she gets older, she seems to stand out more in indie fare like Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind(2004) and Marie Antoinette(2006). Off screen.the petite porcelain-skinned actress was introduced by her Mona Lisa Smile costar Maggie Gyllenhaal to her brother Jake in 2002, a connection that lasted for two years and included cohabitation. In 2007, she spent time on the arm of Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell and was since linked to All Good Things co-star Ryan Gosling and On The Road costar Garrett Hedlund. In 2008, she briefly entered rehab to seek help for depression, a struggle she called upon to portray a woman struggling with the disorder in 2011’s Melancholia.
