When it comes to starring in high school flicks, Vanessa Hudgens is an old pro. But "Beastly," her latest, is a little different: It's her first since she's shot to fame in which she doesn't sing. Still, the "High School Musical" alum is excited to get this modern retelling of "Beauty and the Beast" out to the masses. Read on as we chat with Vanessa about costarring with Mary-Kate Olsen, getting tattooed and more.
Congrats on the movie! How does it feel to have it finally come out?
I'm really, really glad. It's nice to be able to get it out there, because it's a message that I'm really passionate about. So I'm excited about that. And we also had time to kind of play with it and change the ending of it more. So it ends on a bit of a sweeter, more romantic note. So it's exciting.
