Aniston Comments Misinterpreted, Says Pitt
After years of keeping mum on the uglier details of their 2005 split, Brad Pitt finally opened up to Parade magazine with what some would call potentially hurtful words regarding his previous marriage to Jennifer Aniston. Hours later, Pitt was quick to address the heavily publicized piece.
In the interview with Parade, Pitt seemed to criticize his five-year marriage to Aniston by saying he felt uninteresting and "pathetic" during those years, adding his marriage "had something to do with it."

As excerpts of the article began to circulate, Pitt almost immediately released the following statement to address what he feels was a misinterpretation of his words.
"It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself and that I am responsible for."
