Daniel Radcliffe: "I just loathe homophobia"
By Paige Ferrari
You know what Daniel Radcliffe can't tolerate? Intolerance. Specifically, homphobia. He just really really hates it.
In a recent interview with Britian's "Attitude" magazine, the "Harry Potter" star opened up, saying, "I just loathe homophobia. It's just disgusting and animal and stupid and it's just thick people who can't get their heads around it and are just scared.”
Daniel added that growing up around his parent's gay friends shaped his attitude, saying, “I grew up around gay people entirely. I was the only child in my class who had any experience of homosexuality or anything like that.”
Of course, we applaud Daniel's sentiments. We also marvel at this master play to beat out fellow magic-boy-sex-symbol Robert Pattinson for the hearts and minds of a coveted demographic.
Daniel Radcliffe has most of the literate tweens and is totally closing in on gay icon status. What you got, Pattinson?
