Would this be considered progress? In a change of pace from clichéd stories of claw-baring catfights between starlets, two tales have surfaced alleging actor-on-actor animosity.
First up, we have Channing Tatum, who supposedly has no love for his "Magic Mike" co-star Alex Pettyfer and nixed him from a recent Entertainment Weekly spread.
"Channing and Alex had a fight while filming," a source maintains to the New York Post. "Those around them tried to mend their relationship, but Channing doesn't want anything to do with Alex."
The reason, according to Us Weekly: Pettyfer was a "diva" on the thong-filled, bump-and-grinding set.
"Alex was a jerk to everyone during filming for no reason," snipes an insider. "He thinks he's the star of the movie, not Channing or Matthew McConaughey."
Tatum, who also co-produced the movie, "said he didn't want to do [the EW shoot] if Alex was there," says the Post spy. "Alex is known in Hollywood for being rude and difficult."
You'll recall that just before the release of "I Am Number Four" in February 2011, the British actor's behavior was labeled "demanding" and "defiant" in a Hollywood Reporter profile. A few weeks later, a report asserted that his newly minted ex-girlfriend, Dianna Agron, was "terrified" of him.
But the "Magic Mike" crew insists all was and is well. Click on for more ...
