The more serious Jennifer Lawrence's romance with Nicholas Hoult seems to become, the more camera-shy she seems to get. Amid an avalanche of quickly denied engagement rumors, the typically gracious and goofy actress has been photographed hiding her face from the paparazzi and flipping them off (twice), moves that come just ahead of the pair's demanding promotional tour for "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
On Sunday, J. Law hid behind an upside down newspaper as she arrived with Hoult in Paris via Eurostar. As they exited the train station, she made sure her left middle finger was prominently displayed for shutterbugs.
Three days earlier in London, she offered the same digitally themed gesture after she hopped into a pink cab with her British beau, who gently tried to coax down her finger (pic at left).
Interest in the couple of three or so years isn't like to wane anytime soon. In addition to their high-profile "X-Men" duties, Lawrence, 23, and Hoult, 24, are rumored to be settling down together. The Sun says they've purchased a home in London's swanky St. Johns Wood.
What's more, they will apparently put their relationship to the ultimate test by shopping and assembling Swedish furniture.
"It's his first house. He's very excited and has been getting all his furniture from Ikea," the actor's sister tells the tab. "Nick has been big into feng shui, so in his room he has had branches, twigs with lights, the mattress and everything else on the floor -- like water features and chairs -- facing in the right direction."
Hoult, for his part, recently talked to V Man magazine about the media frenzy surrounding Lawrence, and he didn't seem worried about it.
"The privacy thing obviously changes but the rest pretty much stays the same," he revealed. "Enjoy the good times, but don't get swept away with it. And I think that's something she's capable of doing and that's what makes her special, but yeah, it is very odd, and I am just kind of a bystander in many ways."
