According to the paper, Ashton became teary during the speech-making part of the festivities, and his voice broke when he admitted, "I've made all these horrendous mistakes in the last year."
For those keeping score at home, the "horrendous mistakes" he's allegedly referring to might include (but are not limited to) his hot-tubbing good time with a blabby, 22-year-old blonde on his sixth wedding anniversary.
Since the couple's November split, he's also been linked to screenwriter Lorene Scafaria, Rihanna and his onetime "That 70s Show" co-star, Mila Kunis, with whom he enjoyed a cozy weekend getaway in April.
Demi, who has made mistakes of her own (e.g., her purportedly whip it-inducedmedical emergency in January), "looked frozen" during this confession, says the tab.
Curiously, the rehabbed star's newly rechristened Twitter has been packed in recent days with aphorisms of the "To err is human, to forgive is divine" variety.
Among the tweets Moore has listed under her favorites over the last week or so: "If you're important they'll make a way to be with you, if you're not they'll make an excuse" (via Will Smith); "We all make mistakes. Don't let that be the reason you give up on somebody" (via Wiz Khalifa); and "Cheating on a good girl is like throwing away a diamond and picking up a rock."
Reps for Demi and Ashton did not respond to our request for comment on the reconciliation rumors.
