Kelsey Grammer is nothing if not an optimist. The three-time divorcee must believe No. 4 is the charm, because he's gone ahead and permanently etched wife Kayte Walsh's name on his body.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports the actor, 57, stopped by a local tattoo parlor on Saturday and got his very first ink stain: "Kayte" written in blue ink on his right hip.
He wanted "something small because it was his first one," tattoo artist James Eastwood tells the paper. "He's a pretty down-to-earth dude."
Another shop employee tweeted a photo of Grammer mid-needling. The former "Frasier" star, who's in town filming his series "The Boss," was accompanied by his pregnant-with-twins missus of 14 months.
"She was pretty, but not gorgeous, in your face ... They were fun. Very friendly and into each other. They were just talking and enjoying each other," recalls Eastwood's grandma, Christine Darbo, who was visiting the shop when Kelsey was getting his moniker tribute.
She then (awesomely) added, "I figured with his background he should just put a ‘K’ with a period to give him some flexibility."
Grammer, who was asked for ID when he arrived, paid $60 for the tat, the cheapest one available. Perhaps he can squirrel away the savings for his future laser removal treatments.
