This Groom Provided in Exchange for Promotional Consideration
Has "Bachelorette" headliner Emily Maynard picked an ABC-vetted fiancé, and did he slip a $90,000, ABC-provided sparkler on her finger?
So says the cover of this week's Life & Style, which crows that the single mom received a proposal "just after midnight" on May 11 but doesn't name the actual question-popper.
Instead, he's "the man who stole Emily's heart," one so romantic (or good at following a script) that he got down on one knee to offer her a 4-carat Neil Lane diamond ring during an ABC-sponsored getaway to a Caribbean resort.
"It was truly a one-of-a-kind fairy-tale experience for her," a source says of the camera-captured proposal. "The final bachelor was led through a grand sky-blue gate to where Emily stood. The proposal took place in the middle of the night, which gave it a more intimate feel."
"One-of-a-kind" may be a stretch. You'll recall that back in 2010, Emily received a Neil Lane ring from "Bachelor" star Brad Womack, who later took full responsibility for the relationship's demise.
Anyhoo, one long month after the proposal, "Emily is still happy and engaged," trumpets another insider. "She is ecstatic. She's over the moon and loves her ring."
