Just how serious are things between Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas? If you believe the London Daily Mail, serious enough that the blue-blooded blonde has given up her dreams of being a dancer because of her deepening romance with the ginger-haired royal.
Instead of hoofing professionally, Cressida, 24, has reportedly taken a production assistant job in a London office.
"She doesn't want to do anything that will embarrass Prince Harry," says a source. "I think she felt uncomfortable about photographs being seen of her dancing earlier this year."
Bonas has been studying contemporary dance for several years, but the paper claims that some royal insiders "did not think the title 'dancer' sits easily" on the resume of a candidate for future princess. (And yes, we, too, think this sounds like a Harlequin historical romance novel crossed with "Fame" -- geez, someone make that happen already.)
Further signs fueling those simmering engagement rumors: Harry, 29, recently invited Cressida along on a hunting trip to the family's Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
"She's now part of Harry's inner sanctum," a source tells Us. "The fact that she's been to Sandringham on numerous occasions proves that she's been welcomed into fold. She's a lovely girl and everyone is hoping they go the distance."
Concludes the Daily Mail spy, "Cressida has done a U-turn: She has fallen head-over-heels for Harry, and he comes first now. She isn't afraid of the royal circus any more."
