Last month, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith faced down the umpteenth round of speculation about the supposedly shaky state of their 15-year union, which was sparked by the purported sale of two of their family homes.
And though the oversharing couple has repeatedly denied talk of trouble, the whispers continue. The latest rumblings come from Radar Online, which claims they are living "separate lives" and drops hints about a "trial separation."
While it's true that Will and Jada have spent time apart in recent months (that's them at left in New York on Aug. 23), it's been work-related: He's filming "Focus" in New Orleans, while she's in Los Angeles with their kids, Willow and Jaden.
A Pinkett Smith source pooh-poohs the rift rumors to People, insisting, "She's as happy with her husband as ever," which we suppose could be taken a couple of ways, if she really wasn't all the happy to begin with. Still, Jada doesn't seem like the cut and run type.
"We're not getting a divorce. Where am I gonna go? Where am I going to go?" she told Essence in September 2012. "That's my boo. It's like he's another part of me."
A little less than a year later, she reiterated the strength of their relationship to Redbook: "What is the thing that Will could do to make me not love him? That would make me abandon him? I can't think of one. I'm sorry. ... I have been affected by gossip, and I know people who have been, too. I've seen marriages destroyed by gossip. It is cruel."
