Is the reigning Sexiest Man Alive about to be fruitful and multiply? Channing Tatum's wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, sparked stork speculation on Sunday night when she appeared at the VH1 Divas event in a tent-like, boob-emphasizing empire-waist gown. An iffy fashion choice or a sign of a genetically blessed bundle of joy to come?
Turns out it's the latter. A rep for the couple confirms to People that they "are pleased to announce that they are expecting the birth of their first child next year."
Channing and Jenna, who married three years ago after meeting on the set of the 2006 dance flick "Step Up," have made no secret of their desire to start a family.
"Probably sooner than later," the actress, 32, coyly hinted to "Access Hollywood" during the Diva festivities. "We both want kids. We'll see … when God wants it."
The "Magic Mike" star has been equally enthusiastic about procreating.
"I'm ready; I think she's ready," Tatum, 32, told People mag in last month's Sexiest Man Alive profile. "The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy, and then we'll see where we go after that."
