"Twilight" opened the door to more mature roles for Dakota. She reunited with Kristen Stewart between "New Moon" and "Eclipse" to star as Cherie Currie in "The Runways," in which the actresses even share a steamy lip lock. But in spite of all that, "Twilight" didn't drastically change Dakota's life. The actress still attended a regular (private!) high school in Los Angeles, where she was a cheerleader and was crowned homecoming queen two years in a row in 2009 and 2010. Then in fall 2011, Dakota started her freshman year at NYU. Ever since, she's skillfully balanced her life as a normal college student with roles in "Very Good Girls" opposite Elizabeth Olsen, "Effie," and more. When she shot a controversial Marc Jacobs fragrance ad in November 2011, she effectively put her childhood behind her. And in November 2012, she did the same to her trademark blond locks.
