Nikki Reed Talks Sharing Showers With Husband Paul McDonald, and Shares Other Marriage Secrets
You've talked about how bleaching your hair to play Rosalie damaged it, but now it looks so healthy. What's your secret?
It was brutal! My mom's a hairdresser, so I grew up with my mom always telling me it's really bad for your hair to wash it every day. So I've always been like a two or three times a week kind of gal because all the natural oil's really good for your hair. Plus, they blow-dry my hair so much and flatiron it and all that stuff [for work], so it's always really beat up. The more moisture I can keep, the better.
What else do you do to keep it looking good?
I just work with the same people all the time, so they care. When you work with different people and they're not invested in your head or in your hair, sometimes they're pulling and they're chopping and they're cutting, and all of a sudden, you're bald. When you work with people that you see all the time, they love your hair as much as you do, so they treat it better.
