'Pretty Little Liars' Bryce Johnson: Officer Wilden is looking at Aria

Zap2it, Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 4:15pm (PDT) "Pretty Little Liars" stars Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell have teased that Officer Wilden is back and is casting a stronger look at Emily Fields in his investigation of Alison's death. But Bryce Johnson (Officer Wilden himself) offers another theory."He's definitely looking to the character of Aria because he thinks she may be the leader of the group, she's been away for a year. Who leaves right after a murder?" Johnson tells Zap2it from the Marins' kitchen on the "Liars" set. "Something fishy's going on there. But he's looking to all the girls ... If it's not one, it's the other. And if it's not the other, it's all four of them.""He's still looking to those four girls for any kind of clues he can get. He's fixated on those four girls," Johnson continues. "He just thinks they know something and they're not telling him. They keep their secrets well."Unfortunately, when Officer Wilden returns to "Liars" we won't be seeing any more interactions between Johnson and Laura Leighton, whom he was previously involved with on the show. "Our storyline has moved away from Hanna's mom and the detective. He bugged her enough," says Johnson, though he was excited when he initially learned he was going to be playing opposite Leighton."I was stoked! I was so excited when I knew I was going to have a little storyline with her. Plant a kiss on her too, that's always nice," Johnson laughs. The Marin household storyline has also colored Johnson's choice of favorite little "Liar.""I'd probably have to say Ashley (Benson) because I've had more storylines with her ... I've fallen to like that character a lot. But all the girls do a great job on the show."Johnson is now off to film the new FOX show "Lone Star," so no more Officer Hottie on "Pretty Little Liars" -- that we know of. But the "Liars" family told Johnson that he'll always have a home there, so perhaps we will see more of "that creepy detective dude," as Johnson says he's been called. But Johnson isn't necessarily hoping to return because that would mean "Lone Star" didn't do well and he says the "Pretty Little Liars" gang wish him success with his new endeavor. As for his "Liars" experience, Johnson says, "It's been a blast, I've had a tremendous experience on the show. It's a lot of fun working with the four girls. They're absolutely fantastic ... I've had an amazing time playing Detective Wilden on 'Pretty Little Liars,' thrilled for the success of the show."Follow Zap2it and Zap2it Andrea on Twitter and Zap2it on Facebook for the latest TV, movie and celebrity news.Photo and video credit: Andrea Reiher, Zap2it
