Until about a year ago, Rooney Mara was a virtual unknown in Hollywood. But the actress makes her official mark on celluloid history as Lisbeth Salander, when the long-awaited American version of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" hits theaters on Dec. 21. Rooney chats with Vogue for their November issue (read the full interview here) about the intense physical transformation she went through to play Lisbeth and more.
On trying to appreciate the present:
"Where do I go from here? I've been trying to really live in the moment, because I will never get this part of it back. As soon as the movie comes out, everyone will turn it into what they believe it is, so I've really been trying to appreciate every minute of now. Because I know what's coming."
