'Most Beautiful' Gwyneth Paltrow offers most bountiful view on 'Iron Man 3' red carpet
The same day that People magazine declared Gwyneth Paltrow to be the "World's Most Beautiful Woman," she donned a superhero-esque, paneled, peplum and mesh gown by Antonio Berardi and hit the red carpet for a premiere of "Iron Man 3" in Los Angeles. The dress combined the structured elegance of a tuxedo-inspired look with the feminine grace of kimono sleeves -- from the front. But remember in "Iron Man" when they implanted cyberkinetic technology into Pepper Potts' chest and she discovered she had superpowers? When Gwyneth showed the meshy, butt-baring sideview of her dress, it was as if someone -- possibly People magazine -- had implanted a different kind of superpower: The power to channel Cher at the 1988 Oscars.
Not that revealing her barely-there booty stopped Gwyneth from accepting accolades for her new crown. Rather, she issued a stream of giddy, mini-sentences about the honor: "It's very sweet and I'm so embarrassed, but I'm so happy," she told E! News. "It's so weird. It's crazy. It's very sweet. I'm so flattered. I'm thrilled."
Asked to comment on GOOP's People cover, her "Iron Man 3" co-star Robert Downey Jr., offered this sage bit of advice: "It's fleeting and you want to take all that glam stuff while you can."
