Anderson Cooper's alleged stalker charged with felony harassment
Since January, Alex Hausner, a 48-year-old man from Queens, New York, has allegedly made four attempts to enter the home Anderson Cooper shares with his boyfriend, Benjamin Maisani. Hausner appeared in court on Saturday and was charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor stalking and harassment, according to E! News. He's been accused of banging on Cooper's door while yelling, as well as trying to reach him via phone call at CNN, where he allegedly told the party on the other end, "I heard you want to f---ing talk to me, the f---ing worst is coming."
Speaking to the New York Pos this week, Hausner insisted that, "It has nothing to do with Anderson … I can prove from my sources that his boyfriend has sent people after me." As far as the incident in June when he was accused of aggressively banging on the door, he said, "I was told to knock on the garage door. I might have got there at the wrong time. I knocked on the door and hit it with my foot." Hausner has been ordered to stay away from Cooper. He is due back in court on Aug. 8.
