Ke$ha Talks Gender Equality in 'Tik Tok'
With her second album, "Warrior," ready to drop, pop's favorite smack-talking, toothpaste-whiskey-using glitter addict has been back in the news, making waves talking about ghost sex and other phenomena unique to the world of Ke$ha. But in a recent interview with the Financial Times, the singer, who famously scored a 1500 on her SATs and ranked as a genius (at 140 IQ points) back in high school, made some very valid points about men versus women in music.
"If men can talk about drinking in every awesome rock 'n' roll song and every awesome rap song, why can't a woman?" she asked. "Just because I drink doesn't mean I'm a drunk. Just because I have sex and I'm not embarrassed doesn't mean I'm a whore. If men can do it, why can't a woman do it? I really feel one of my main reasons for being on this earth is to level out the playing field just a little bit." (WENN)
